Ad schedule

The hours and days a campaign is allowed to run, and the bid for each.

An ad schedule limits a campaign to chosen days and hours, and can adjust the bid up or down for each block. By default a campaign runs around the clock. The hour-of-day report shows what that buys: for many service businesses the clicks between midnight and six spend real money and convert at nothing, week after week, because nobody is there to answer and the searches at that hour are not buyers. The fix is a schedule, not a smaller budget: the same money moved into the hours that work. It is worth checking again after a change to automated bidding, which can quietly spend into the dead hours on its own.
