Conversion Tracking for Google Ads
If you advertise on Google and cannot see which clicks turned into enquiries, Google is guessing on your behalf. Conversion tracking is what stops the guessing, and it is two pieces: the Google tag on your site, and a line of code at the moment somebody actually gets in touch. Most plugins do the first piece. This one does both.
The plugin is on its way to the WordPress plugin directory. This page will link to it there as soon as it is published. Until then, Admiral installs it for you when it sets up your tracking.
One screen, and it is this one
Two values from Google Ads, the moments that count as an enquiry, and a panel on the right that says what your site is doing right now — including the exact value being reported. There is no second screen and no wizard.

What it reports
You paste two values from Google Ads — a Conversion ID and a Conversion label — and choose which moments count. There is nothing else to configure.
Your thank-you page
The page somebody only ever reaches once they have actually got in touch. Add as many as ten.
A tap on your phone number
Any link on the site that dials. On a phone this is how most enquiries to a local business start.
A tap on a WhatsApp link
Links to wa.me and api.whatsapp.com, counted the moment they are opened.
A Contact Form 7 send
Counted when the form reports that it sent, not when the button is pressed, so a failed send is not a lead.
It will not double-count your leads
Two Google tags for the same account count every enquiry twice, which is worse than having none at all — you optimise towards a number that is not real. Before it loads anything, this plugin looks for Site Kit by Google and for other plugins that load the Google tag properly, and steps aside when it finds one, still reporting your conversion without adding a second tag.
It cannot see a tag that a plugin or your theme prints straight into the page. So the settings screen says so, in those words, and gives you a “Never” setting for when you know you have one. A plugin that pretended to be certain here would be the problem.
What it does not do
It makes no request to Admiral, or to anyone but Google. There is nothing to sign up for and no key to paste. Your settings live in your own database, and the only outside connection is Google’s own tag, which is the service the plugin exists to configure.
It does not track WooCommerce purchases on purpose. Google’s own plugin already handles those, and running both would count every order twice. Use this one for enquiries, phone taps and forms.
Admiral runs Google and Meta ads for small businesses. We built this because tracking was the step that stopped people before any advertising could start, and because the fix is small enough to give away.
If you would rather not set it up yourself, Admiral can install it for you and then check from the outside that the tag really is on your page. The plugin is free either way, and it works on its own. See what Admiral does.
Admiral reads your site, plans the campaigns, checks the tracking, and asks before anything spends.
