First-page bid estimate
The bid Google thinks you need for your ad to reach the first page of results.
The first-page bid estimate is Google's own figure for roughly what a click needs to cost before your ad can appear on the first page of results for that keyword. It is a column you have to add to the keyword table, which is why most people never see it. A keyword whose maximum bid sits below its first-page estimate is not competing: it collects a few impressions a week and reports nothing wrong, because nothing is broken. It just cannot win. A campaign full of these looks like low demand when it is actually low bids. The check is to add the column and compare it, keyword by keyword, with what you are prepared to pay.
