Meta

Audience Network

Meta's ads on other people's apps and sites, on by default, and rarely worth it.

Audience Network is Meta's placement for ads on third-party apps and websites, outside Facebook and Instagram. It is switched on by default under "Advantage+ placements", and on a campaign optimised for clicks it can take most of the delivery, because its clicks are the cheapest Meta can find: full-screen ads in games, tapped by accident. The placement report shows it: a high click-through rate, a very low landing-page-view rate, and no conversions. The setting is in the ad set, under placements, where you choose manual placements and untick it. For most Indian small businesses the Feed and Reels placements on Facebook carry every lead; the rest is cost.
